Abstract
Traumatic brain injury is a leading cause of death worldwide. Over 5 million Americans are dealing with a head injury-related disability. It is imperative to understand these patients’ emergency and critical care management to decrease mortality and long-term morbidity. This article provides a review of the current management strategies for patients with traumatic brain injury.
