Crtical Care and Shock Journal

Pulmonary: A New Section

,

Overview

We proudly would like to inform readers of Critical Care and Shock that starting with this issue, there will be a new section called PULMONARY SECTION. This section has risen in an attempt to accommodate pulmonary medicine articles. A large number of our readers have background in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine and have expressed their interest in having articles that deal with pulmonary issues.

In this issue, breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, are introduced in the journal. Many intensivists are aware that we commonly see abnormal sleep patterns in critically ill patients. We believe this is a good start to an enormous field. We encourage our readers to join this exciting section by submitting research, reviews and case reports.

Our journal continues to evolve. We started to change our cover earlier this year; now, we finish this volume with an added of Pulmonary Section. The “fluidity” of the journal is what makes it dynamic and open for new sections reflecting new research and education from opinion-leaders in different areas.
